Facilities Show 2019 is introducing a new Smart Buildings Expo area, alongside a wealth of new features helping the cleaning and FM industry to work smart and well.
The new are is set to inspire the more than 12,000 global cleaning and FM professionals expected to attend Facilities Show 2019. ‘Experience, educate and consult’ are the main themes of the Smart Buildings Expo.
An interactive, life-size replica of a smart office will be a stand-out feature. Created in partnership with Master Systems Integrators Vanti, this 196m² area enables visitors to experience first-hand how interconnected technologies can make buildings more intelligent and, ultimately, improve performance.
Alongside this, visitors can get up to speed with the latest workplace technology and software trends in the seminar theatre and consult with experts in various disciplines of building technology.
Also returning is the Workplace Wellbeing Show. Introduced as a zone at last year’s show, in 2019 it will now include a Wellness Wall where IWFM experts will share ideas on how to encourage workplace wellbeing, a healthy eating café will promote healthier workplace eating, and experts will share content for FMs, HR professionals and health and safety practitioners in the Wellbeing Theatre.
Three renowned speakers will health the Keynote Theatre to inspire the cleaning and FM sector, part of the comprehensive FM seminar programme across the different theatres. They are:
•Steph McGovern, award-winning financial journalist and broadcast household name.
•Michael Edwards, aka Eddie the Eagle, British sporting legend and Olympic ski-jumping hero.
•Jonny Wilkinson, England rugby hero and integral part of the World Cup-winning 2003 team.
Around 300 exhibitors from more than 40 countries will be part of Facilities Show 2019, as the event covers all sectors from cleaning and maintenance, to recycling and energy management, mechanical and electrical, catering and more.
