Facilities solutions provider ABM UK has been awarded a three-year contract with Victoria Place Shopping Centre in London’s Victoria Station.
The new contract – which was won as part of a competitive tender – is worth approximately £2m, and will see ABM UK supplying the Savills-managed shopping centre with cleaning and security services.
Adam Baker, ABM UK’s business development and marketing director, commented: “We are thrilled to have been appointed by Victoria Place Shopping Centre. The contract win is testament to ABM UK’s understanding of Victoria Place and its prominent position adjacent to the UK’s second-busiest railway station. Our vast experience within the retail sector and our understanding of Savills (UK) Limited makes us well-placed to support and develop the team.
“Retail is an important sector for ABM UK, and we are proud to be securing, cleaning and maintaining over 85 shopping centres and retail parks throughout the UK and Ireland. Keeping retail spaces clean, safe and functioning is essential to ensure enjoyable shopping and leisure experiences.”
Victoria Place Shopping Centre, which opened in 1985, is situated adjacent to London Victoria Railway Station, and is home to a wide range of retail, restaurant, coffee shops and convenience food outlets, and underwent a major refurbishment in 2014.
Alex Clark, Centre Manager of Victoria Place Shopping Centre, said: “ABM UK’s vast experience in cleaning and security in the retail sector clearly demonstrated to us that the company has what it takes to not only uphold, but importantly grow, the proud reputation that Victoria Place Shopping Centre has built-up over the years. We are looking forward to working with ABM UK over the next three years.”
