Anniversary celebration for Christeyns Food Hygiene

Hygiene specialist Christeyns Food Hygiene celebrates 30 years in business

Warrington-based Christeyns Food Hygiene has marked its 30th year in business in style, using the occasion to raise funds for Cancer Research.

Founded in 1989 by John Bell as Klenzan, the firm joined the Christeyns UK group in 2017 and the following year rebranded as Christeyns Food Hygiene. Serving the food, dairy and beverage industry across the UK and Ireland, the firm supplies cutting edge, innovative hygiene chemicals as well as management and monitoring systems.

Since its inception the company has grown considerably, now covering 78,000 sq ft and incorporating 11 units at Winwick Quay, Warrington.

The company celebrated this latest milestone with a party held at Cottons Hotel & Spa, Knutsford, Cheshire. Staff and partners, past and present, were invited to the black-tie event where over £780 was raised for the charity Cancer Research.

In preparation for the next decade, the Christeyns Food Hygiene facility has recently undergone a £3m refurbishment which included external refurbishments, improved efficiency and safety procedures and additional bulk tank storage.

The company is looking to the future, having upgraded operations to meet additional ISO standards, ISO 45000 and 14001, as well as the successful implementation of COMAH to ensure that products leaving the site are consistently of the highest standard, whilst minimising the impact on the environment.

Managing Director Neil Jones commented: “It is a real achievement to reach this milestone and is testimony to the hard work and integrity of our excellent team here at Warrington. With so much industry experience amongst our staff, we are able to understand the day to day challenges of our customers and to offer bespoke solutions. It is this expertise and customer focus that has led to the company’s ongoing success.”

Over the coming year, celebrations will continue with an increased focus on supporting local charities with a weekly ‘dress-down Friday’ and other planned events including a group walk to the summit of Snowdon in April.
