BICSc assessor status granted to Servest's retail and leisure division

BICSc assessor status granted to Servest's retail and leisure division

The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc), the UK’s largest independent, professional and educational body within the cleaning industry, has awarded Servest’s retail and leisure division training centre accreditation and assessor status.

This was the result of an intense six month training period carried out by the company to achieve the level of standard. BICSc’s assessor training programme worked alongside Servest’s existing training models and successions plans. The mandatory units were designed as an introduction for cleaning operatives, and from there other skills and knowledge were built up to meet their specific retail business needs.

The division, which sees almost 8,000 employees working across more than 2,000 sites, now has four qualified assessors at its helm. Thanks to the accreditation, these individuals can lead and deliver the high level BICSc standard training in-house to operatives. Servest is working on a plan to roll out the training programme to all divisional area managers, thereby improving standards across the division.

Sean Fisher, managing director of retail at Servest, said: “This is a great achievement for the division and we can use the accreditation and assessor status to improve our offering to current and prospective partners. This accreditation really sets us apart and highlights our dedication to cleaning excellence.”
