Chartered Practitioners’ Register launched at Cleaning Show 2021

WCEC launches Chartered Practitioners’ Register to entire cleaning industry at Cleaning Show 2021

It’s been a long wait, but UK cleaning and FM professionals have finally been able to convene in person at a major calendar event for the environmental cleaning industry – the Cleaning Show 2021.

It’s here that the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners (WCEC) took the opportunity to launch the new Chartered Practitioner’s Register to the entire cleaning industry, on 3 November 2021.

The first individuals to achieve chartered status were WCEC members, who tried and tested the application and qualification process earlier in 2021.

Now, anyone in the UK cleaning industry who satisfies the application criteria may do the same. At the Cleaning Show, two more Chartered Practitioners are announced and added to their number: Yvonne Taylor from OCS, and Robert Sutherland from RAMS FM.

Gary Fage, the new Master of the WCEC said: “It’s a proud and hugely significant achievement for us at the WCEC, and for the cleaning industry overall. Finally, we will have a means of demonstrating our professional commitment, skill and expertise as cleaning professionals, and stand as acknowledged peers with other industries in the UK who can do the same.”
