Ecoserv introduces waste management

Ecoserv Group introduces monitored waste management

Ecoserv Group, the multi-discipline FM company, is launching a managed service to help customers meet their waste and recycling commitments.

The company has partnered with GPT Waste to deliver a highly compliant and monitored waste management solution that will complement its existing cleaning, maintenance, and sustainability offering.

Sally Ann Van Blerk, Group Sustainability Director at Ecoserv Group, explained: “Waste management forms an integral part of any sustainability strategy, so companies need to take their waste and recycling responsibilities seriously if they are to effectively target net zero. Our partnership with GPT Waste will provide us with further tools to create sustainable FM solutions that meet all legal obligations, target measurable carbon reduction, and cut costs.”

As part of the launch, Ecoserv will be offering a no obligation review to new and existing customers that will identify any business-critical issues and areas of non-compliance, as well as pinpoint opportunities to both reduce waste and save money. This will enable the company to develop client-specific solutions, which prioritise waste prevention, followed by re-use, recycling, recovery, and finally disposal. The process will also include an appropriate audit trail and data capture to ensure waste is being handled correctly.

GPT Waste is a leading independent provider of waste management solutions across the UK. Working with a network of service providers nationwide, the company delivers a fully compliant offering while delivering client-specific focused efficiencies. It offers the most up-to-date methods of recycling and recovery, ensuring the most appropriate technical, environmental, and economic method of treatment is applied.

Mike Callaghan, Business Development Director at GPT Waste, commented: “Waste is a cost to a business that if not managed correctly can be very expensive. It also must be managed legally, so all things considered, there are clear benefits of having a monitored waste management solution working seamlessly alongside a cleaning operation. This integrated approach makes it possible to actively manage waste streams in a compliant and efficient manner to help save money and improve service delivery.”

Jean-Henri Beukes, CEO of Ecoserv Group, added: “This latest development is another step in our journey and part of our transformation into a multi-service business, which will be achieved through a combination of strategic acquisitions, partnerships and continued investment in our existing operations.”
