Facilities Show 2018 breaks records

Growing by significant margins, Facilities Show 2018 attracted 7% more visitors than Facilities Show 2017.

More than 12,000 visitors and 280+ exhibitors were welcomed into Facilities Show 2018, which included a brand new Occupational Health and Wellbeing Zone to support the industry’s shift towards looking after worker mental health and wellbeing.

The show also welcomed the BIFM Smart Client Programme, which equipped FM’s with the procurement and contract management tools to reduce risk and improve quality through strategic sourcing. The new FM Sports Bar provided a place to kick back during the World Cup and discuss the day’s highlights.

767 meetings between suppliers and exhibitors were pre-arranged during the show through the meetings service, which returned for its second year.

Chris Edwards, Brand Director for Facilities Show, commented: “I can say with certainty that this has been a truly incredible event – 2018 saw a new level of buzz on the show floor. The sentiment from visitors and exhibitors has been really positive, which is a testament to the show’s growth. The show is here to welcome thousands of FMs to network, be inspired and discover the latest smart solutions – and that’s exactly what happened over the course of three days.”

Ruby Wax OBE, Sir Clive Woodward OBE and Nicky Moffat CBE headlined the Inspirational Speaker Series, while successful seminar sessions included ‘FM in 2025: Technology Disruption in FM’, which tackled how smart buildings will develop in the next 5-7 years, the FM implications of IoT and AI, and the cyber security threat which accompanies the rise of connected workplaces.

Facilities Show 2019 will take place from 18-20 June 2019 at ExCeL London.
