First class career progression at Jangro

Jangro’s employee support highlighted as Tammy Ladner achieves top degree and promotion

Jangro, the UK & Ireland’s largest network of independent janitorial and cleaning distributors, is proud to announce that after supporting her through a degree for the past four and a half years, Tammy Ladner has been promoted to Operations & Welfare Manager.

During her 21 years as a Jangro employee, Tammy has been able to continually advance her professional development. The board at Jangro put her forward for this degree with a view to progressing her role. In June, she graduated from University of Bolton with a First-Class honours in BSc (Hons) Business Management – and was also awarded the Governors’ Prize for the Highest Final Assessment Academic Achievement.

In her new role, Tammy is working closely with Jangro CEO Joanne Gilliard and the senior team, as well as overseeing the running of the Head Office, whilst new appointment Heather Crank-Ingham takes over the reins as Marketing Manager.

This is just one instance highlighting how Jangro works with its employees and invests in them to develop rewarding and interesting careers within the cleaning industry. The company also has close links with the local community in Bolton, the site of Jangro HQ, to promote careers in the sector. For example, it recently collaborated with University of Bolton on projects which gave students an insight into the topics involved in the cleaning industry.

As a Living Wage Employer, Jangro is passionate about ensuring its workforce feel valued, are treated fairly and paid a wage that reflects their hard work and the benefits that they bring to the organisation.

Joanne Gilliard commented: “As CEO, it is my duty to ensure our staff are trained, encouraged and empowered to achieve their own aspirations. Just as Jangro supported me through my own degree, I am thrilled that we have been able to afford the same opportunity to Tammy.

“She has worked incredibly hard over the past four years – juggling work, study and family life isn’t easy, but she has smashed it. To be awarded a First-Class honours degree – plus the Governors’ Prize for Highest Academic Achievement – is an outstanding achievement. Well done, Tammy. I am so proud of you.”

Tammy added: “I would like to thank all the Jangro board members for believing in me and supporting me to progress my career. Jangro truly is a great company to work for – I feel very lucky that I get to work for an organisation that invests so much in its employees.”
