Linda Wyers, Chairwoman of Sale-based The Floorbrite Group, has announced the launch of a new foundation, set up to honour the legacy of her husband who passed away 10 years ago.
The Martin Charles Wyers Foundation has been created to provide funding this year to a number of Cheshire-based charities who will equally share all funds raised through the foundation throughout 2020. These are:
• The homeless through SPIN (Supporting People in Need).
• The Wythenshawe Trust who support families and individuals in need.
• Francis House who support and look after sick children and their families.
Each year, The MCW Foundation will choose new charities to support for that year.
Linda commented: “During Martin’s lifetime he supported many local causes, especially for young people in the community, and over the years Floorbrite and the family have continued to support local charities but we feel the time has come to take our fundraising to the next level.
“The MCW foundation will raise money to help people who are desperately in need such as; the homeless, vulnerable, disadvantaged families and people affected by life changing illnesses and we very much hope that our clients, suppliers, and staff will help support us in raising vital funds for our chosen charities.”
Martin Wyers founded Floorbrite in 1972, and today the company has a £20m turnover providing a full suite of facilities management provisions, employing more than 1500 staff across the UK.
