Skin and surface hygiene specialist, GOJO Industries-Europe, has been awarded a Silver Medal by EcoVadis.
This accolade acknowledges GOJO as a growing leader in sustainability, with its score placing it in the top 25% of businesses evaluated by EcoVadis worldwide.
EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings with a global network of more than 85,000 rated companies. Built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000, its methodology assesses how well a company has integrated the principles of Sustainability/CSR into their business and management systems.
It examines 21 different indicators in four themes: Environment; Social/Human Rights; Ethics; and Responsible Purchasing. GOJO performed strongly in all categories, but achieved a particularly high score under ‘Environment’.
Chris Wakefield, Vice President of European Marketing & Product Development at GOJO Industries-Europe, commented: “We’re serious about our sustainability initiatives and are committed to helping achieve a just, clean, and circular economy. A silver medal in our very first assessment is a fantastic achievement, but we have our sights set higher – we’re going for gold.
“Over the next year, we will be implementing more measures to increase our score and achieve even greater sustainability going forward.”
This is the second sustainability accreditation GOJO has received recently. Last year, over 350 global products connected to its PURELL range, one of the most trusted brands for skin and surface sanitising, achieved Cradle to Cradle certification.
Backed by a wealth of scientific expertise and specialist formulations, GOJO is committed to developing sustainable products that deliver results and maintain skin health. PURELL remains the market leader, thanks to its focus on formulation without compromise.
