The Irish Contract Cleaning Association (ICCA) held its Industry Awards lunchtime ceremony on Friday 19 October in the Round Room at the Mansion House, Dawson St, Dublin.
Hosted by MC Anton Savage, more than 250 guests attended the event, representing commercial contract cleaning personnel, service providers and guests. ICCA Chair, Avril McCarthy, acknowledged the role played in the industry by cleaning site operatives and site supervisors – all of whom were celebrated on the day.
The independently judged Awards recognised service excellence in the industry and celebrated the work being carried out behind the scenes on sites – ranging from Retail and Hospitality Buildings to Healthcare units and Offices – by contract cleaning companies and in-house cleaning teams around the country.
Independently appointed judge, Siobhan Prout, who undertook site visits throughout the summer months, noted that the cleaning standard of sites was extremely high and made assessment challenging. She enjoyed a competitive process and delivered a strong message of professionalism in the industry.
Tom Dalzell, Managing Director of Bunzl Cleaning and Safety Supplies (BCSS), Lead Sponsor for the Awards, said: “[We are] delighted to work in partnership with the ICCA as Lead Sponsor of the Industry Awards that recognise and celebrate the vital role of professional contract cleaning service providers in our private and public-sector infrastructure.”
