We are saddened to report on the passing of Mr. Scot Young, founder of Scot Young Research (SYR), on Monday 10 July following a brief illness.

Born in 1935, Scot Young emigrated to Canada in 1954 and started his business as a window cleaning company in Toronto. Over the decades that followed SYR grew from strength to strength, winning accolades including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation in 2002.

His legacy lives on with SYR’s success today as a multinational company, led his daughter, Lee Ann Young, who carries on his passion and dedication to the business He leaves at the reins a new generation of daughter, granddaughter and great grandchild.

The company will remain open as normal to continue the legacy of its founder and leader. An online condolence book will be shared at a later date.
