ISS has announced it will begin mobilising the recently-awarded seven-year contract with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) on 1 October 2024, scheduled to go live in October 2025.
With an anticipated value of around DKK 1.2bn (£135m) per year, the contract will see ISS provide integrated facility services, including cleaning, catering, technical services and workplace experience to the DWP’s sites across the UK.
Through the delivery of these services, ISS is committed to supporting the DWP’s Workplace Services Programme by delivering safe, smart and sustainable professional environments that foster collaboration and enable the Department’s wider purpose.
Craig Varian, Director of DWP Estates, said: “Our Workplace Services Programme is the largest such re-procurement in government, creating a facilities management service that is business critical in enabling DWP to function and serve our customers. I’m looking forward to the new partnership with ISS and building a collaborative and exciting working relationship.”
Kasper Fangel, Group CEO of ISS, said: “I’m excited about entering this new partnership as we leverage our public sector expertise in the UK to deliver the best value to the DWP. We very much look forward to collaborating with the DWP to create safe and attractive workplaces that enhance employee wellbeing and productivity — all brought to life through ISS’s passionate and dedicated people.”
Scott Davies, CEO of ISS UK & Ireland, said: “ISS is honoured to have been awarded this landmark contract with the DWP, marking a significant milestone in our relationship with the UK public sector.
