The Julius Rutherfoord & Co’s Training Academy, based in Battersea, London, has passed the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) audit with flying colours.
The BICSc commended Julius Rutherfoord & Co’s commitment to and enthusiasm for raising standards in the cleaning industry.
Free to all Julius Rutherfoord & Co’s cleaning operatives, the award-winning Training Academy offers induction training as well as regular, ongoing development throughout a team member’s career at the company – all based on-site, at their place of work.
Julius Rutherfoord & Co’s BICSc Assessors and BICSc Accredited Training Academy are audited every year against BICSc standards. This involved a very thorough, detailed check of mandatory and basic cleaning tasks that is highly focused on safe systems of work, methodology, risk assessments and best practices.
The BICSc audit commended the company’s approach: “The team are very committed and enthusiastic to training and assessing BICSc skills. The audit was very good and the control of the documentation helped immensely. Their approach to the audit involves time and effort and this is apparent.”
Chris Parkes, Julius Rutherfoord & Co operations director, said: “We have long celebrated the positive impact that apprenticeships and traineeships have on individuals, businesses and the economy, and are very proud to have a BICSc-accredited Training Academy at our Battersea home in London.
“We firmly believe training should be free to all staff, and offered locally in relation to their place of work. Training also benefits our clients and the industry by sharpening our ability to provide even greater quality service and client interaction, and raising standards for health and safety and quality.”
