Kärcher confirms Team BRIT support

Kärcher reconfirms support for Team BRIT

Global cleaning equipment manufacturer, Kärcher, has confirmed its support of all-disabled Team BRIT, for the third consecutive year.

The global brand partnered with Team BRIT for the first time in 2019. Team BRIT’s drivers are disabled, and it aims to become the first ever British all-disabled team to race in the Le Mans 24 hour race. Through its Racing Academy, it supports people with physical and psychological challenges in accessing motorsport.

Team BRIT’s HQ and workshop is based at Dunsfold Aerodrome, Surrey, and is home to the team’s fleet of cars, which are fitted with its world-leading racing hand controls which enable its drivers to compete on a level playing field.

Kärcher supplies the team with access to a range of equipment to keep its workshop in top shape, along with credit for products and consumables to help achieve its goals in 2021.

Having fielded its biggest ever team of drivers in 2020, despite the challenges of the pandemic, 2021 is set to be the team’s biggest year yet as its rookies and experienced drivers compete in the Britcar Championship, racing at iconic race circuits across the UK.

James Gordon, Marketing Director at Kärcher GB & Ireland, said: “We are delighted to continue our support for Team BRIT into a third year. All at team BRIT have an unwavering passion and determination to reach the very high bar they set for themselves, and we at Kärcher are excited to help them achieve their ambition in any and every way that we can. Starting with a clean workshop and sparkling cars.”

Team BRIT Founder and CEO, Dave Player, said: “Having the support of Kärcher means a great deal to us. This is a global leader, known across the world for the quality of its products and to have their ongoing support is incredible.

“The work that goes on behind the scenes to keep us on the race track, and to offer opportunities through our Racing Academy is huge. We need the support of companies like Kärcher to make this a reality. Without them, we wouldn’t be making our mark on motorsport, opening the door for disabled drivers who never dreamed they could go racing. My thanks go to the entire team at Kärcher for joining our journey and continuing their support.”
