Man made to mop up own mess

Man made to mop up own mess

A man who was caught urinating outside of a railway station was made to clean it up by the police, who handed him a mop and supervised the clean-up.

Despite the station’s toilets being open at the time, British Transport Police (BTP) Three Counties caught the man at around 1PM at Worcester Foregate Street station on Sunday 28 July.

Officers called the man’s actions ‘unacceptable’, and once the clean up job was complete, he was not allowed to travel on the railway and was asked to leave the station.

BTP said there was no legislation for the mop and bucket, it was just ‘common sense’ to dole out this form of punishment.
