Maureen Marden will be installed as the new Master of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners on Thursday 26 April.
This annual change of leadership will take place at a ceremony at St Olave’s Church, Hart Street within the City of London. This is Maureen’s second time as Master, having been the third woman to hold the position in 2013.
Maureen said: “It is an honour to once again be Master of the Environmental Cleaners. I was not expecting to serve a second term, but I am fully prepared for the challenge ahead. With the support of my colleagues, I am sure we will make this another successful year for the company, working within, and on behalf of, the cleaning industry.”
Outgoing Master, Jack Broadley, said: “There can be few, if any, people with a better knowledge of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners. As well as being a Past Master, Maureen has served us ably as Clerk for several years. We are clearly in very safe hands for the coming year.”
