OCS has been awarded the Innovation in Product and/or Processes award for its IMPACT cleaning training programme by the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management at the IWFM Awards 2019.
The winning team collected its prize on the night of 14 October at the glamorous awards ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
The IMPACT programme, launched in May 2018, was designed to ensure all OCS frontline cleaning operatives and supervisors are delivering industry best practice standards, ensuring their own safety and wellbeing. It also provides a clear career progression from cleaning operative to supervisor, cleaning coach and beyond – securing engagement and motivation for the ground staff wanting to succeed.
Yvonne Taylor, Head of Cleaning at OCS, said: “We are extremely pleased to have taken home this award from the prestigious IWFM Awards evening. To have only implemented this programme 18 months ago, we couldn’t be more proud to now see it being awarded such a high-profile commendation. We thank the IWFM and our fantastic teams that worked so hard to make this programme a success.”
Fighting off five other competitors, the scheme was commended for its innovation and success in such quick succession. The category was designed to “identify and recognise a stand-out product or service that, through its development and utilisation, has had the most positive impact on workplace and facilities management provision”, commented the IWFM.
