Deb has reaffirmed its ongoing partnership with national cancer charity Skcin by stepping up its marketing activity and support.
Deb supports Skcin’s Sun Safe Schools Awareness campaign, the UK accreditation scheme which aims to prevent skin cancer through education. The scheme provides schools with access to educational resources, lesson plans and specially designed Sun Cream Dispensers.
Paul Jakeway, Marketing Director at Deb, said: “We’re delighted to continue our ongoing partnership with Skcin through heightened activity. Young children spend a significant amount of time outdoors whilst at school and are exposing their skin to harmful UV rays.
“It is a misconception that protection is only required when the sun is out. 80% of the sun’s UV rays can pass through clouds, therefore it’s crucial that pupils have access to sunscreen and dispensers all year round and also understand the importance of keeping safe while outdoors.
“We truly believe Skcin is leading the way in educating young people on sun safety and we are proud to be supporting them on this journey.”
Marie Tudor, Business Development Manager at Skcin, added: “The support of Deb has truly made a difference over the years and we’re thankful for their continued support which we believe is making a difference to pupils and schools across the UK. Together, we’re changing young people’s perceptions and educating them when it counts the most.”
