Delphis Eco has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to sustainability with the highly coveted Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development 2022.
The Delphis Eco team was recognised for the production of its award-winning ecological cleaning range made from renewable, plant-based ingredients, providing effective products free from toxins, fumes and chemicals to both professional and domestic markets.
Not only are Delphis’ products rapidly being seen in cleaning markets as an eco-friendly go-to-choice, but with sustainability and plastic waste being given increasing visibility at procurement levels, the company has innovated and invested with its packaging, being the first to market in Europe in encasing its products in 100% recycled plastic.
According to CEO Mark Jankovich the journey to secure 100% recycled packaging was painful and lengthy. Mark explained: “We wanted to evidence that if we, as a small SME, could lead the way in driving the effective recycling of packaging and give second life to single life plastics, then this was a major signpost for larger manufacturers who have subsequently followed suit.
“We are deeply honoured to win the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development and everyone within our team is immensely proud of the achievements over the past few years and in how we are really making a difference when it comes to these important societal issues.
“Everything we do looks to take carbon out of the environment, whether it’s our products or the way they’re packaged and produced. As a business we’re looking to be Net Zero by 2030 but equally importantly, we’re looking at ways to support government in its quest for individuals to reach Net Zero, as well as businesses who are likeminded in their passion for sustainable trading and have made important science-based commitments.”
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed Queen’s Awards emblem for the subsequent five years. Delphis Eco already holds two Royal Warrants from the late HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Prince of Wales (now King Charles III).
Jankovich concluded: “This award cements our ambition to continually strive to do more for society and the planet.”
