Search is on for Window Cleaning excellence

Search begins for the UK's top window cleaning company and employee

The Federation of Window Cleaners (FWC) is welcoming entries into its biennial industry competitions Window Cleaning Company of the Year and Window Cleaner Employee of the Year for 2021.

Winning prizes are a framed certificate, engraved trophy and a £100 voucher, with the runners up receiving a framed certificate and £25 voucher. The competition is open to all window cleaners who are registered members of the FWC, and to all employees of registered members.

Andrew Lee, Chairman and Safety Officer at the FWC, said: “Winning this title would put you out there ahead of your competitors, give you some excellent material for marketing your business as well as the satisfaction of knowing just how professional you and your company are. I would urge all members to enter.”

Beryl Murray, General Secretary of the FWC, added: “A prestigious title and a unique opportunity to promote your business… what have you got to lose by entering our competition?”

Employee entrants must have been nominated by their employer, and only one employee per company is eligible to participate.

The competition will be judged by three independent judges, together with the FWC General Secretary, based on industry achievements, time served in the window cleaning industry, customer/client testimonials, and reasons for entering this competition.

The 2019 winners were Lee Hewitt of Progress Cleaning Services, Southampton, for Window Cleaner Employee of the Year, and Progress Cleaning Services, Southampton, for Window Cleaning Company of the Year. HCS Cleaning Services and Archer Cleaning Services, both in Lancashire, were Second and Third respectively.

The closing dates for entries is 30 May 2021. All winners will be announced at the 2021 Cleaning Show, date to be confirmed. Entry forms are available to download or complete on the FWC website.
