Spectrum moves warehouse after giving customers a roasting

Norwich-based Spectrum Hygiene has relocated into a new 10,000 sq ft warehouse, moving from its previous 7,000 sq ft facility.

With a current annual turnover of £4m for the company and its subsidiaries, the new warehouse is a pivotal factor in Spectrum’s ambitious plans to increase sales by as much as 50% in the next two years. So, why roast the customers?

One of Spectrum’s subsidiary companies is South East Coffee Company Ltd, which augments Spectrum’s cleaning chemicals supply business to restaurants and hotels in the East Anglia region. Beginning only five years ago as an add-on to the janitorial supply business, South East Coffee now enjoys £1m annual sales.

Spectrum Hygiene has grown by word of mouth and customer recommendations for its products and service, offering great value for money to its customers and of course its bespoke coffees. It offers Greyland brand chemicals including the full range of washroom, hard and soft floor cleaning chemicals, area deodorisers, polishes and soaps.

Damian Potter, MD of Spectrum Hygiene, adds: “Local enterprises like to deal with local suppliers; we at Spectrum Hygiene and South East have been serving them all successfully for 15 years, now with five delivery vans on the road, whilst at the same time bringing in innovation and new products.”

Greyland MD, Richard Dyson, along with sales director James Brough, took time out to congratulate Damian on the new move. Richard commented: “Spectrum Hygiene has been a valued, growing customer for Greyland brand chemicals ever since they joined the Caterbar buying group two years ago, and we are pleased to see them in new premises which will help them grow their business to the next level. We wish them every success.”
