21 October 2020 will mark the sixth annual Thank Your Cleaner Day and, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has never been a more worthwhile celebration.
Cleanliness and hygiene are vital for our welfare and key to reducing the risk of infection, making cleaning staff some of the heroes of our time.
Acknowledged as the ‘keyworkers’ they are, cleaners were fighting the virus on the frontline while the rest of us were locked down. Kärcher, together with partners from the cleaning industry from around the world, will ensure that cleaners receive greater appreciation. It’s about demonstrating gratitude and acknowledging the hard work your cleaners deliver, whether you work in a factory, office building, or even a school.
Thank Your Cleaner Day originated in New Zealand when the local trade organisation for Building Services Contractors (BSCNZ) worked with Kärcher to recognise the unsung heroes of the cleaning industry. More than 30 countries now take part across the world, and Kärcher continues to champion the cause, encouraging as many businesses to take part as possible.
