Burgess Hill Town Mayor, Cllr Roger Cartwright, Town Council Leader Cllr Robert Egglestone and Deputy Leader Cllr Joe Foster, recently paid a visit to local environmentally-friendly cleaning product manufacturer, Bio-Productions.
Accompanied by Managing Director, Angela Gill, the visitors were given a tour of the company’s HQ on the Victoria Business Park, where they had the chance to see the factory’s production line first-hand. They took in the whole site from the offices and boardroom, through the laboratory, research and development and wet and dry production to labelling, packaging and the warehouse.
Throughout the visit, Angela and Operations Director, Phil Karn, showcased the diverse products that make up Bio-Productions’ catalogue, which has significantly expanded since business began in 1984.
Angela Gill said: “It was a pleasure to showcase our company to the Council‘s top representatives. We are proud of our team here in Burgess Hill from where we manufacture and export our biological solutions globally. Our aim is to encourage local businesses, restaurants and schools to become greener and support local industry.”
The visit was also an opportunity to acknowledge the organisation’s recent successes. Business has been booming lately and products are now shipped as far afield as Australia, India, South Korea and throughout Europe. China and Qatar have also recently come aboard and Canada is currently trialling the products.
Cllr Robert Eggleston said: “The town is fortunate to have such an innovative company like Bio-Productions providing marketing-leading, environmentally-friendly products around the world. The company has made us think hard about how we can use public procurement to bring more environmentally-friendly products into facilities and to a wider audience. We understand that the company wants to expand and, as town councillors, we want to use what influence we can to help it realise its ambitions for its business.”
Bio-Productions recently won two awards at the BHBiz Awards and were also shortlisted for two awards at the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards earlier this year.
