Distributor support service gets new Academy

Northwood Hygiene Products are supplying distributors of away-from-home (AfH) washroom products with a Training Academy, designed to help them sell their products to the end user.

Northwood’s Leonardo Training Academy was launched this spring to inspire and support distributors in the sale of its well-established, popular dispenser brand.

Comprising a brand overview and in-depth insight into the features and benefits of each product within the range, Northwood’s Leonardo Training Academy takes place at the company’s Telford headquarters.

The informal event also incorporates a factory tour and the opportunity to meet Northwood’s HQ team, allowing delegates to appreciate the size and capabilities of the company and to learn more about the benefits of working with the 45-year-old family firm, one of the few vertically integrated groups in the industry.

Northwood’s Training Academy has so far been attended by over 100 delegates from across the UK and representing distributors of all sizes, including Bidfood, Cherwell, Harlech Foodservice and DEB Disposables.

The Academy is just one strand of Northwood’s industry-leading distributor support service, delivered by one of the sector’s largest commercial support teams. The company engages with end users on customers’ behalf and presents at their events, as well as producing bespoke online, print and event marketing collateral.

DEB Disposables’ Sales Manager and recent Academy attendee, Neil Cartwright, said: “The course was well worth the investment of my time. As well as providing an opportunity to learn more about the Leonardo brand, the training included a session on cost-in-use calculations, highlighting the competitiveness of the line.

“Without a doubt, the Training Academy will help me to convey the benefits of Leonardo – and Northwood – to my customers.”

Northwood’s Marketing Manager, Paul Mulready, added: “Strong customer service is as important to Northwood as the manufacture of excellent products, and the Leonardo Training Academy is just one way in which we support our distributors.”

The high-capacity Leonardo brand of dispensers, paper products and soap was developed to promote hygiene while achieving competitive cost-in-use and is well-suited to a wide variety of washrooms across the commercial, services, education and healthcare sectors.
