Wiltshire-based Green Hills Cleaning Ltd has won Nilfisk’s competition for a cleaning cupboard of equipment, worth £5,000.
The cleaning equipment haul is all battery operated, comprising of the VP600 tub vacuum, the GD5 Battery Backpack, the SC250 micro scrubber and the larger pedestrian scrubber dryer the SC400. Nilfisk’s high value competition attracted many entries being well publicised prior to the Cleaning Show 2019, where the winning entry was drawn on stand.
The winning company owner, Les Bedford, could not be more delighted. He commented: “My wife and I founded Green Hills in 2010, primarily a domestic services provider. We always intended to take the business into the commercial sector, but the cost of the equipment held us back. This win could not have come at a better time, it really allows us to take the business to the next level with quality, hardwearing machinery that is really fit for purpose.
“It was quite ironic really because we had entered the competition online after seeing it promoted on Facebook. We then visited the Cleaning Show in March dreaming about what we would like to buy. We even went ‘window shopping’ on the Nilfisk stand, not thinking for one minute we would be lucky enough to win.
“Owning battery operated, cordless equipment that will improve productivity and safety has been a long-term aim of ours. To be able to do this now with a quality brand like Nilfisk, really is a dream come true. The Nilfisk team were also excellent throughout, Stuart Costigan presented us with the equipment and showed us how to operate them for best results. A huge thank you to them for such a professional initiative.”
