Pacvac has received bronze recognition from Healthier Workplace WA (Western Australia), as a result of positive work environment changes they have undergone to create a motivated and productive workforce.
The company, which specialises in the design and manufacture of backpack vacuums, aims to be viewed as an employer of choice by providing a welcoming and inspiring environment where staff produce great outcomes as a team.
Donna Rothwell, Pacvac Director, commented: “I have always maintained the belief that happy staff are the key to a successful company, and in recent months we have been working hard to ensure we continue to support and encourage a staff-centred mindset where employee wellbeing is paramount.”
In an effort to build morale and enrich workforce mental health, Pacvac’s staff members are encouraged to participate in a range of physical activities and social events, provided with shower facilities should they wish to cycle to work; and are provided with kitchen facilities to encourage staff to bring their own lunch and eat healthily.
In recent months, Pacvac has also implemented multiple workplace improvements such as stand-up desks to reduce fatigue, indoor plants for improved ambience, and breakout areas for staff to enjoy time away from their workstations. Extensive building renovations are also being planned to ensure everybody gets to work in a place that brings out their best.
Ms Rothwell continued: “One of the most innovative changes we have implemented in recent months is our Wellbeing Initiative, which ultimately increases a staff member’s leave entitlements, at the expense of the company, to ensure staff are provided with an additional three days of leave to utilise as they see fit. I see this initiative greatly boosting our employee’s overall wellbeing, ensuring a positive work-life balance.”
Pacvac is currently striving towards developing all areas related to overall workplace wellbeing and workplace health and safety, to achieve gold recognition for the continued happiness of employees.
